Dominant road win in Big Ten country
- Mississippi State’s week two win at (RV) Minnesota marked the largest margin of victory on the road since Oct. 23, 2021 when the Bulldogs beat Vanderbilt by 39.
- The 13 yards rushing allowed is also the least given up since that 2021 matchup at Vanderbilt.
- The Bulldog offense, typically known for its quick tempo and short scoring drives, engineered a drive of 10:27 on Saturday, State’s longest since a 12:29 drive vs. Kentucky on Nov. 4, 2023.

- The Bulldog offense is off to a historically hot start in 2026. The Dawgs lead the SEC and are second in the nation in total offense at 620.5 yards per game.
- State is also second in the SEC in yards per completion at 14.98, third in rushing offense (298.5) and fourth in passing offense (322.0) in the league.
- MSU’s 100 points through two games is the third-most in program history, trailing the 2017 season (106) and the 1914 season (131).

If you haven't seen it with your own eyes, just look at the numbers for proof. Taylor heads into this weekend's Southeastern Conference opener at South Carolina fourth nationally in total yards per game (363) and points responsible for (48). He became the first Bulldog quarterback since Dak Prescott to open a season with seven or more passing touchdowns and one or more rushing scores over a season's first two games.

- The nation recently reflected on the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of 2,977 individuals. On Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, the Gamecocks traveled to Starkville to play in the first major sporting event following those attacks, providing a dose of normalcy after so much tragedy.
