Creative Content 2026-27 Internships
Full-Year Internship Period: August 2026 - May 2027 (APPLICATIONS OPEN, CLOSING AUG. 1)

Internship Type: Scholarships available
- Assist the creative content staff in event coverage including press conferences, photo and video shoots, game coverage and interviews.
- Edit graphics, photos and videos for social media and videoboard shows.
- Attend intern staff meetings and occasional sport-specific external staff meetings.
Fan Experience 2026-27 Internship
Internship Period: August 2026 - May 2027 (APPLICATIONS OPEN, CLOSING AUG. 1, 2026)
Internship Type: UNPAID with the opportunity to elevate to a paid position. Also available for class credit.
• Support the Fan Experience team in the planning, development, and execution of marketing, promotional, and fan engagement efforts across all 16 sports
• Assist with grassroots marketing initiatives to build awareness on campus and throughout the Starkville community
• Deliver an elite gameday experience by assisting with fan engagement areas, sponsorship fulfillment, giveaways, and event setup/breakdown
• Support office operations by preparing promotional materials, organizing assets, and contributing creative ideas for upcoming events
• Assist with on-field and in-venue promotions during select Mississippi State athletic events
• Assist with fulfilling Athletics charitable requests and community initiatives
• Attend scheduled Fan Experience staff meetings and trainings
• Distribute marketing materials to assigned campus and community locations as needed
Broadcast Services 2026-27 Internship

- Assist with the video board and SEC Network productions of athletic events.
- Gain experience working in live sports productions.
- Opportunities to meet with ESPN personnel.
- Run camera, learn replay, assist with graphics and help with audio.
- Attend regularly schedule training sessions.

Sports Nutrition 2026-27 Internship

Student Equipment Managers 2026-27
Fall/Spring Internship Period: August 2026 - May 2027 (APPLICATIONS OPEN)
Internship Type: UNPAID
- The job of an equipment manager is to successfully prepare our student-athletes, coaches, and teams for competition.
- The equipment department maintains inventories, oversees the ordering of all apparel and equipment, and safely outfits our teams with appropriate gear.
- Student equipment managers assist the full-time equipment staff in accomplishing their tasks.
2026-27 Bulldog Athlete Services Volunteer Learning Opportunity
Fall Internship Period: August 2026 - December 2026 (APPLICATIONS OPEN, CLOSING JULY 31, 2026)
Internship Type: This position is unpaid. It can be taken for class credit.
- Learn M-Club policies and procedures to assist with Leo Seal M-Club protected access on all home football game days of the 2026 season.
- Learn and develop exemplary customer service skills to ensure a first-class fan and recruiting experience.
- Learn MSU ticketing policies to ensure the efficiency of M-Club access on game days.
- Learn NCAA/SEC recruiting rules to ensure compliance in game day recruiting support
- Learn event management skills to assist in coordination and implementation of scheduled events, such as the M-Club Hall of Fame, Student-Athlete programming, and game day operations.
- Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities are subject to change as needed for departmental efficiency.
- 10-20 hours/week
- Ability to start office hours on or before Monday, August 17th, 2026

Sports Medicine 2026-27 Student Worker

Position Type: Tiered Scholarship.
- Work under the direct supervision of the certified athletic trainers on staff
- Assist with day to day operations of the athletic training room (wound care, taping, hydration, injury management and facility organization)
- Help provide transportation to medical appointments
- Attend student level in-services
- Able to work odd hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Fall semester- Ability to attend student AT orientation/fall football camp beginning early August through the start of school
- Open to all majors with no experience required.
Athletic Communications 2026-27 Internship
Full-Year Internship Period: August 2026 - May 2027 (APPLICATIONS CLOSED MAY 1, 2026)
Spring Internship Period: January 2027 - May 2027 (APPLICATIONS CLOSED, OPENING OCT. 1, 2026)
Internship Type: This position is unpaid for the first semester and then paid hourly in following semesters. It can be taken for class credit.
- The Mississippi State athletic communications student intern program is designed to allow full-time students the opportunity to contribute to the overall operation and execution of the communication efforts for the 16 varsity programs at Mississippi State.
- The position includes, but is not limited to, general office and research projects, staffing home athletic events, feature content writing and statistical operations.
- No prior experience is necessary.
- Preference is given to freshmen and sophomores in the spring hiring period.
Event Management & Game Operations Internship
Fall 2025 Internship Period: August 2025 - December 2025 (APPLICATIONS CLOSED)
Spring 2026 Internship Period: January 2026 - May 2026 (APPLICATIONS CLOSED)
Internship Type: UNPAID, can be taken for class credit
- Assist in the day to day management and operational support of all athletic department sponsored contests, games, and events and the facilities that these activities and events are held in.
- Responsible for assisting the coordination of other university and non-university units in the operational support of game and events.
- Reports facility repair and maintenance issues during games and events to the Coordinator of Athletic Facility Maintenance.
- Will conduct preseason, pregame and pre-event meetings with all necessary support staff.
- Will report event, game, and facility operations emergencies to supervisors and respond to these emergencies as required.
- When required, will perform preventative maintenance and general upkeep of athletic facilities as they relate to event and facility operations and grounds, including cleaning and janitorial service.
- Experience the daily duties and game day responsibilities for game operations.
