
State Completes Regular Season Slate

FORT WORTH, Texas – Mississippi State women's golf concluded the regular season with a ninth-place finish in the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational at 35-over par.
Avery Weed earned her sixth top 20 finish of the season after firing off an even par round in the final day of action to conclude the tournament T12. The round marked her 48th career par or better round, placing her in a tie for the fourth-most ever by any Bulldog. Weed was one of 15 golfers in the 75-player field to finish par or better in the third round.
Weed leads the team in top-20 placements this season and has now finished inside the top 20 in 17 of 28 of her career tournaments. 16 of those tournaments have seen her inside of the top 15.
The 16th-ranked Bulldogs will begin postseason play in three weeks at the SEC Championship, which will return to The Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. The tournament will begin on April 16 and will see an SEC Champion crowned on April 21.
