Mississippi State Finishes off The Weekend on a High Note

STARKVILLE, Miss – Mississippi State women's tennis closes out the weekend with a victory against Louisiana Tech and Bellarmine.
The Bulldogs defeated Louisiana Tech 6-1 to start off the day, followed by earning their second win against Bellarmine 4-0.
MSU dropped the doubles point to the opposing bulldogs in the first match. State later dominated in singles by taking all six courts to secure the win.
In the second match of the day against Bellarmine the Bulldogs showed out under the lights and had a 4-0 sweep. Mississippi State had an early start earning the doubles point with pairs of Athina Pitta/ Mia Robinson and Emma Cohen/ Thessy Ntondele Zinga. In singles, Carolina Troiano, Noemie Oliveras, and Di Genova helped in finishing the match with collecting singles victories.
Match Notes
• MSU is now 23-5 when playing a doubleheader under Head Coach Chris Hooshyar
• The freshman class is undefeated in singles this season, Ntondele Zinga is also undefeated in doubles
• State continues their non-conference winning streak of 18 under Coach Hooshyar
