Women’s Tennis Collects a Pair of Wins to Start the Weekend

STARKVILLE, Miss – Mississippi State women's tennis starts off the weekend with a pair of wins against Georgia Southern and Alcorn State.
The Bulldogs started off the day defeating Georgia Southern 5-2. State then followed by earning their second win against Alcorn State 4-0.
MSU had an early lead by collecting the doubles point against the Eagles with the help of duos No.9 Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz/ Gianna Oboniye and Chiara Di Genova/ Noemie Oliveras. In singles, the Bulldogs collected four singles victories to secure the match.
In the afternoon slate against Alcorn State, Mississippi State was able to secure the second doubles point of the day with the duos of Noemie Oliveras/ Carolina Troiano and Chiara Di Genova/ Thessy Ntondele Zinga. Oliveras collected her first singles win wearing maroon and white 6-1, 6-0. Mia Robinson finished the day by clinching the fourth point 6-0, 6-1.
