No. 11 Bulldogs Begins Chevron Collegiate On Monday

STARKVILLE – The 11th-ranked Mississippi State women's golf team will travel to Humble, Texas, to take begin the Chevron Collegiate. The first two rounds will take place on Monday, February 23, while the championship will be decided in the final round on Tuesday, February 24. Featured coverage of each day will be provided on the Babygrande Golf YouTube channel from 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Monday, while featured coverage will last from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

10 of the 17 teams in the Chevron Collegiate are ranked inside the top 50 of the Scoreboard rankings. State is one of three teams to be ranked in the top 15, joining No. 3 Oregon and No. 6 Arkansas.

Avery Weed will sit atop of the Bulldog lineup. Weed is shooting a team-best 69.9 average this season and is currently the second-ranked individual in college golf.

Ines Belchior enters the Chevron Collegiate off her third top 10 finish of her freshman campaign after finishing T10 at the Moon Golf Invitational. She recorded her third round in the 60s, ranking third among freshman in program history.

Samantha Whateley will sit in the middle of State's lineup. Whateley ranks second on the team in scoring average, shooting a 73.1 this season.

Moa Stridh will shoot fourth for the Bulldogs. She earned her second-best finish in relation to par at the Moon Golf Invitational, finishing the tournament 4-over, including a second-round of 5-under.

Izzy Pellot will wrap up the Bulldog five. The senior from Orlando recorded her 111th career round at Mississippi State, the ninth most of any golfer in program history.
