Bulldogs To Co-host Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational On Mississippi Gulf Coast

SAUCIER, Miss. – The No. 34 ranked Mississippi State men's golf team will face a stacked field at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational this weekend in Saucier.
The Bulldogs will co-host the three-day event alongside Ole Miss and Southern Miss. Admission is free to the public.
"It's always great to play an event in Mississippi," head coach Dusty Smith said. "We take a lot of pride in being a co-host of one of the best tournaments in the country. This course is a great test of golf that will challenge how well we can think and how well we can execute our shots. I know the wind is going to be up this week so it will be a challenging test of golf. For us, it comes down to how well we can control our focus and how locked in we can stay on our process."
State enters this weekend riding back-to-back top five finishes, having five different players earn top 20 finishes through three tournaments. Most recently, the team finished second at the Cullan Brown Collegiate sparked by shooting 6-under par in the first round.
This will be one of the most competitive fields the Bulldogs have faced this fall with 12 of 15 teams ranking inside the top 50 of the SCOREBOARD rankings. Six teams sit in the top 15, highlighted by a trio of top 10 squads in No. 1 Arkansas, No. 4 Alabama and No. 9 Tennessee.

Tee Time Information
The Dawgs will tee off for round one at 9:30 a.m. CT with Gavin Isbell teeing off first, followed by Bryson Hughes, Finn Burkholder, Yago Horno and Arth Sinha in ten-minute intervals. State individual Jackson Skinner will tee of at 10:10 a.m. CT.
