Anthony Evans III Added To Biletnikoff Award Watch List
November 10, 2025 | Football
STARKVILLE — Mississippi State wide receiver Anthony Evans III has been added to the prestigious Biletnikoff Award watch list, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation announced on Monday.
Evans has had a career year in 2025, setting career bests in receptions (56), yards (680) and touchdowns (4). He leads the SEC in receptions this season and ranks sixth in receiving yards. Evans is averaging 68.0 yards per game, 12.1 yards per reception and 5.6 receptions per game. He is tied for fourth in the SEC on plays from scrimmage of at least 40 yards (4). Evans also has 26 plays from scrimmage that have gone for at least 10 yards, which is the 15th-best total in the SEC.
This season, Evans, along with teammate Brenen Thompson, each earned their first three career 100-yard receiving games (Arizona State, Florida, Arkansas). Together, the duo became the first pair of Mississippi State teammates in program history to have multiple same-game 100+ yard receiving performances in the same season. The only other duo to have multiple 100-yard receiving games was Fred Ross & De'Runnya Wilson, who achieved this feat once in 2014 and once in 2015.
Evans and Thompson are now both featured on the Biletnikoff Award watch list. The Biletnikoff Award recognizes the college football season's outstanding FBS receiver, regardless of position. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, split end, inside receiver, slot back or running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award. As such, the Biletnikoff Award recognizes the outstanding receiver, not merely the outstanding wide receiver. The award recipient is selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of prominent college football journalists, commentators, and former receivers.
Voting to determine semifinalist begins Nov. 10 and will run through Nov. 16. Fans can vote by clicking HERE.
