Weed Earns Golfweek All-American Honor
June 10, 2026 | Women's Golf
STARKVILLE – Avery Weed picked up her second All-American honor of the postseason, as she was named to Golfweek's All-American second team on Wednesday.
Â
Weed had a standout third year in the Maroon and White, as she shot a 70.13 scoring average, the second-best scoring average in program history. She finished par or better in 22 rounds this season, the second most of any MSU golfer ever. Of those 22 rounds, 11 were in the 60s, the third most of any Bulldog golfer.
Â
Weed earned her third individual title this season at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational at 14-under par. She became only the second golfer in the history of the event to win the event and not be a part of the host team, Arkansas. She finished the event 14-under par, which set a new individual 54-hole record for the event.
Â
This was Weed's second All-American selection of the postseason, as she was named a first team All-American by the WGCA earlier this month. She also earned first team All-SEC honors, her third season earning conference honors after being named to the second team last season and to the freshman team in 2023-24.
Â
Weed has also earned two selections to the Augusta National Women's Amateur, the Arnold Palmer Cup and the Curtis Cup, which begins on Friday, June 12.
