What To Wear In StarkVegas For State’s 2026 Football Season
May 14, 2026 | Football, Athletics, Joel Coleman
STARKVILLE – There is nothing like a fall Saturday in Starkville, and it's the fans that set the tone for it all.
State supporters' passion through the years has made Davis Wade Stadium one of the toughest places to play in all of college football. In 2026, that trend is set to continue and fans can once again help create the raucous environment opponents dread by participating in the upcoming season's themes and wardrobe color schemes.
It all starts on the First Saturday in StarkVegas when MSU hosts ULM in the season opener on Sept. 5. Fans are asked to wear either Maroon or White for the game as the Dawgs look to start the new campaign in style. If you're already thinking about tickets for the opener, First Saturday in StarkVegas ticket four-packs will go on sale Monday, May 18.
State's second home contest of the year begins a string of five consecutive contests where fans are encouraged to don specific colors.
On Sept. 26 against Missouri, the Bulldog faithful will get the chance to wear White and White Out the Tigers.
A week later, on Oct. 3 against Alabama, it'll be a Stripe Out. Depending on the section a fan is seated in, individuals are urged to wear either Maroon or White. Details on what to wear in which section will be released at a later date.
When Oklahoma comes to town on Oct. 24, the Bulldogs will Black Out the Sooners. State will try to recapture the magic of last season's Black Out game when MSU topped No. 12 Arizona State in thrilling fashion.
State's Nov. 7 contest versus Vanderbilt will be the 2026 Homecoming game. Fans are asked to wear Maroon.
Military Appreciation Day will occur the following weekend, on Nov. 14, when State welcomes Auburn to Davis Wade. Fans are again encouraged to wear Maroon for the game.
The home slate concludes with Senior Day on Nov. 21 when MSU squares off against Tennessee Tech. The final home game of the year will mimic the first, with fans asked to put on either Maroon or White.
Make your plans now to be in Davis Wade Stadium this season. Season tickets are available now, with single-game tickets set to be released soon.
