Mississippi State Continues Spring Season At Schenkel Invitational

STATESBORO, Ga. – Mississippi State men's golf continues the 2026 spring season at the Schenkel Invitational, hosted by Georgia Southern.

Forest Heights Country Club is the home venue for the event, playing as a 7,112-yard par 72.

The Bulldogs return to action for the first time since the Watersound Invitational in mid-February, where they finished ninth. It was State's fifth top-10 finish in as many starts this season.Â

Schenkel Invitational Team Lineup

Garrett Endicott (No. 1) – Senior – San Antonio, Tex.
Â
Endicott holds down the one spot again, having finished in a tie for 14th in his most recent start at the Watersound Invitational. The senior carded a pair of rounds in the 60s, highlighted by an opening round of 3-under 67.

He has compiled four top-20 finishes in five starts, alongside two top 10s. His 11 rounds of par or better lead the team, and his final round of 69 at the Watersound moved him into a tie for second in program history for career rounds in the 60s.

Jackson Skinner (No. 2) – Freshman – Birmingham, Ala.
Â
Following his best showing as a Bulldog, Skinner moves into the lineup's second spot. He notched his first collegiate top 10 at the Watersound Invitational, placing sixth at 6-under for the event. He carded three rounds of par or better with an opening round of 6-under 64 – the lowest score of any freshman in the event.

Skinner's seven par-or-better rounds this season rank third on the team.

Ben Kelling (No. 3) – Redshirt Freshman – Bad Feilnbach, Germany
Â
Kelling makes his first career start in the team lineup, having played as an individual in three events this season. He fired two rounds of par or better in his last start at the Watersound, opening the event with a one-under 69.

His put together his best finish at State at the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate earlier this spring, tying for 16th. He has carded at least one par-or-better round in all three of his starts this season.Â

Ugo Malcor (No. 4) – Senior – La Baule, France
Â
Malcor starts in the fourth spot this week, having been one of the Bulldogs' most consistent players this season. The senior has compiled four top 20s and two top-10 showings, which both tie for first on the team.Â

He comes into the Schenkel having shot a final round of one-under 69 in his most recent start at the Watersound.

Drew Wilson (No. 5) – Junior – Potts Camp, Miss.
Â
Wilson makes his fourth start of the 2025-26 season, coming off two solid showings in the fall.Â

He notched a 14th-place finish in his first appearance at the Cullan Brown, carding rounds of even-par 71 and 1-under 70. He concluded the Fallen Oak Collegiate with back-to-back rounds of 1-under 71.

Bryson Hughes – Freshman – Jacksonville, Fla.
Â
Hughes will make his third individual start of the season this week at the Schenkel. The freshman played his best golf in the Maroon and White at the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate in February, opening with a one-under 71 before settling in a tie for 45th.
