STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State Bulldogs will make their second straight trip to Texas, as they travel to College Station to take on the Texas A&M Aggies. Tipoff for the contest is set for 7 p.m. on SEC Network+.

NOTES:

Mississippi State is on the bubble for the 2026 NCAA Tournament and was listed as one of the Last Four in by ESPN Bracketologist in his latest update.
The Bulldogs look to build their resume against the Aggies, who are a quad two opponent for State.
State currently has a NET ranking of 38 entering the contest.
The Bulldog offense is one of the most evenly distributed offenses in the nation, as seven Bulldogs average eight or more points, making them one of four teams in the nation to have seven or more players do such.
Madison Francis and Favour Nwaedozi have led State in scoring in eight games, the most of any Bulldog
The duo leads the team in scoring, as Francis averages 13.2 points per game while Nwaedozi averages 12.3.
Francis has made an impact in her freshman season and has built up a resume for All-Conference and Defensive Player of the Year honors.
In conference games alone, Francis has averaged 13.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 1.4 steals per game.
Francis was named to the 2026 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watchlist, one of four freshman in the nation to be named.
Francis remains the SEC's block leader as a true freshman at 2.9 blocks per game, a mark which is second in the nation.
Francis' 78 blocks is tied for the most in the nation.
She is one of two players in the country to average at least 2.5blocks and 1.4 steals per game and is the only player to do so in any of the power four conferences.
In conference play, Kharyssa Richardson is averaging 11.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, which was above her non-conference offensive production of 6.8 points per game.
Favour Nwaedozi is just shy of averaging a double-double after doing such for most of the season. She currently averages 12.3 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.
Trayanna Crisp has made a three-pointer in all but four games she has played in this season and had a streak of 15 consecutive games with a make earlier this season.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT:

Texas A&M have won their last three games and four of their last five games, including two ranked victories.
Ny'Ceara Pryor is the only player in the country ranked in the top 10 of SPG (3.6) and APG (7.1). She is No. 5 in SPG and No. 6 in APG nationally. Her SPG number leads the SEC.
Pryor also leads the Aggies with 15.9 points per game.

Mississippi State leads the all-time series 13-7.
In College Station, each team has won four matchups a piece.
The Bulldogs are 7-3 in the last 10 matchups against the Aggies and are 4-2 under Sam Purcell.
