NUEVA NAYARIT, Mexico – Former Mississippi State golfers Garrett Endicott and Chad Ramey finished tied for 40th at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open on the PGA Tour over the weekend. Endicott made the cut in his PGA Tour debut, firing three under par rounds to finish at 10-under 274.
After shooting even par in his opening round, a bogey-free 67 in the second round gave Endicott just enough to slip above the cut line and into the top 60. The Texan shot a 4-under 67 with four birdies and posted a perfect scrambling rate, saving par on seven holes. Through two rounds, Endicott was tied for first in the field in driving accuracy, finding 24 of 26 fairways.
The former Bulldog continued his strong play into Saturday, firing a 5-under 66 to enter Sunday just outside of the top 25. He concluded the weekend with a 1-under 70 to record an overall score of 10-under 274, tying for 40th.
Ramey also made the cut at 5-under. He followed with rounds of 2-under and 3-under to finish alongside Endicott at 10-under.
Endicott and Ramey both earned $23,100 over the weekend. Ramey will be back in action this week at the World Wide Technology Championship.
