#STATEtoSundays: Week 4 Update
October 06, 2026 | Football
It was a back-and-forth battle between the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans this past Sunday with a pair of Mississippi State standouts producing down the stretch for their respective teams.
Woody Marks scored on a 6-yard run to give the Texans a 30-27 lead with 2:23 remaining in the fourth quarter. However, Dak Prescott guided Dallas on an 11 play, 74-yard scoring drive and passed on every down.
Prescott connected on eight of his 11 throws on that drive, capping it with an 12-yard scoring strike to CeeDee Lamb with 40 seconds left to lift the Cowboys to a 34-30 victory.
Prescott finished the game completing 32 of 45 passes for 335 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. He has hit on 70 percent of his throws this season for 1,065 yards, eight TDs and only one pick.
Pro Football Focus (PFF) ranks Prescott third among NFL quarterbacks in passing grades this season with an 86.2.
Marks' rushing touchdown was his second of the season and fourth of his career. Houston defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy was also credited with a half-sack in that contest, his first since his rookie season in 2024.
Chris Jones recorded a pair of tackles for Kansas City, including one behind the line of scrimmage for a loss. It was his 100th career tackle for loss and is five away from tying the Chiefs' all-time record in that category since it became an official stat in 1999.
Former first round draft pick Charles Cross continued to anchor Seattle's offensive line at left tackle. Cross logged all 60 offensive snaps in the Seahawks' 30-23 win over the Chargers and ranks eighth among offensive tackles with a 79.4 pass blocking grade this year.
Logan Cooke punted three times for Jacksonville for a 48.7-yard average in Week 4, including a season-long 60 yarder.
