September 20, 2025 | Soccer
STARKVILLE – No. 12 Mississippi State will put its 17-match regular-season home unbeaten streak on the line on Sunday night with a man who was on the sidelines for 13 of those games sitting on the opposite bench.
Â
The Bulldogs welcome Auburn and former head coach James Armstrong back to the MSU Soccer Field at 6 p.m. CT on Sunday night. The match will air on SEC Network+, and it will mark the first time a former Bulldog head coach has returned to Starkville with an opposing team.
Â
State (7-1-0, 2-0-0 SEC) is coming off a 3-0 thrashing of 2024 SEC Tournament champions Texas, improving the conference's regular-season champion's record to 11-3-1 when playing the tournament champion in the following season.
