
Cross Country Set To Begin Season In Memphis

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State cross country will open the 2025 season at the Memphis Twilight XC Classic in Memphis, Tennessee, Saturday evening.
The race will be held at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex, with the team competing in the college women's division. The Bulldogs will face SEC rivals Ole Miss, as well as Memphis and Arkansas State, among 17 teams.
The Bulldogs return to the race for the second consecutive year. The team finished second in last year's race, with conference rivals Ole Miss taking first. Gabrielle Boulay was the first to cross the line for MSU, finishing third overall.
State will send seven to the line, two of whom competed at last year's event. Bulldog veterans Brooklyn Quanz, Madelyn Keating, Trinity Holland and Kaitlyn Burge will toe the line Saturday evening.
Nelly Jemeli, Naomi Jepleting and Sophie Santucci will make their cross country debuts this weekend to round out the lineup.
The race, set to kick off at 9:20 p.m., will be a 5k consisting of laps around the soccer complex.
