Lockhart Earns Coaches’ Freshman All-SEC Honors

STARKVILLE — On Thursday, the Southeastern Conference announced its 2025 Coaches' Freshman All-SEC Team, with Tyler Lockhart representing Mississippi State.
Lockhart was a true freshman in 2025, appearing in 11 games. He tallied 33 tackles and two quarterback hurries. He set a season-high in tackles with six against Tennessee and Texas A&M. He closed the season with a strong showing against Missouri and Ole Miss, earning five tackles in each contest.
His 33 tackles led all Mississippi State freshmen and ranked 11th for the Bulldogs. His 33 tackles are also the most by a true freshman since Emmanuel Forbes' 44 tackles in 2020.
