FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Mississippi State Diamond Dawgs jumped out to an early 6-0 lead but could not hold onto the lead and would fall, 9-6, to the No. 5 Arkansas Razorbacks.

The Diamond Dawgs once again started out smoking, scoring five in the second, but couldn't pull out the win in game three.

Ethan Pulliam had all the power in the Sunday game as he drove in four runs with two doubles and a two-run home run to end the game 3-for-4 at the plate. Aaron Downs added a double and an RBI to the box score to finish the game 3-for-4 in the batter's box. Joe Powell hit his first home run this season.

Pico Kohn grabbed his fifth start of the season and pitched four innings. In the contest, he had four strikeouts. Karson Ligon, Gavin Black, Cam Schuelke, and Tyson Hardin picked up the final four innings of relief work. Black punched out two, and Hardin struck out one.

Mississippi State is back for the final midweek contest of the season Tuesday against North Alabama. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. and will be broadcasted on SECN+.
