The Bulldogs dropped their last match against #15 Texas.
This will be the State and Oklahoma's fifth time facing off, with each owning two wins a piece.
Kailin Newsome and Ceci Harness picked up double-doubles against Texas. Newsome picked up her team-leading 10th with 11 kills and 10 digs, while Harness picked up her 5th with 35 assists and 11 digs.
State houses back-to-back Defensive players of the week with Arissa Smith earning Co-Defensive Player of the Week this week after averaging 3.00 blocks per set and collecting a .462 against the Aggies.
Smith is ranked 1st in the SEC and 3rd in the country in hitting percentage with a .452.
Smith is also ranked 26th in the country and 4th in the SEC in blocks per set with 1.34. The Bulldogs are ranked 3rd in the SEC and 22nd in the country in assists per set with 12.94.
State is ranked 4th in the SEC in block per set (2.51),3rd in digs per set (15.74) and 3rd in kills per set (13.61)

Scouting The Opponent

The Sooners are on a two-game winning streak after defeating Ole Miss on Friday.
All three of their last matches were taken to five sets, picking up wins against the Rebels and Texas, while dropping a match to Missouri.
The head coach of Oklahoma is Aaron Mansfield, who is 22-25 in two years with the Sooners.
Oklahoma leads the conference in blocks per set with 2.80.
Three Sooners are ranked fourth in the conference in their respective categories: Payton Chamberlain in assists per set (12.80), Lydia Martyn in hitting percentage (.378) and Alexis Shelton in points per set (5.05).
