State Kicks Off Postseason At SEC Championship

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Mississippi State cross country begins the postseason campaign at the SEC Championships, hosted by Texas A&M on Friday morning.
The race will be held at Dale Watts Cross Country Course, with the women's 6k kicking off at 9:05 a.m. CT.
"The women are in a great spot," assistant coach Erinn Stenman-Fahey said. "We have a lot of confidence as a group going into tomorrow knowing we'll be able to put forth our best effort."
MSU will see conference foes Arkansas, LSU, Florida, Texas and Texas A&M for the first time this year. The Bulldogs have competed against the rest of the conference throughout the regular season.
State will send 11 women to the line in College Station. Gabrielle Boulay, Ramat Jimoh and Hayley Ogle boast the squad's fastest times in the 6k this season.
Jaelyn Ogle, Hunter Anderson and Madison Jones return to the line looking to improve on their times, all of which fall on the MSU all-time list. Mallory Streetman, Brooklyn Quanz, Kaitlyn Burge, Madelyn Keating, Morgan Grace Sheffield and Trinity Holland round out State's lineup.
Jimoh, the Ogle siblings, Anderson, Jones, Keating, Streetman and Quanz return to the SEC Championship after a 13th place finish in the 2023 event. Jimoh was State's highest finisher, clocking in at 21:21.1 in the 6k and finishing 46th. The team returns to the conference championship looking to improve on personal times and squad performance.
