
State Concludes Regular Season With Fourth Place Team Finish

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Mississippi State cross country concluded the regular season with a fourth place team finish at the Crimson Classic with 118 points.
"I'm really proud of how the girls competed today," assistant coach Erinn Stenman-Fahey said. "They worked well together throughout the race, which was something we wanted to focus on today and made a good step forward as a group."
The first Bulldog to cross the line was Gabrielle Boulay, finishing 10th with a time of 20:04.3 in her first collegiate 6k. This performance puts her at No.2 all-time at MSU. Hayley Ogle was the next finisher, clocking in at 20:12.4 to finish 12th in her season opener. Ogle dropped 13 seconds off her personal best to move to No. 5 all-time at MSU. Ramat Jimoh was third to cross the line for State, running 20:26.0 for her first 6k of the season and finishing 16th.
Rounding out the scorers for MSU were Morgan Grace Sheffield and Hunter Anderson. In her first collegiate 6k, Sheffield clocked in at 21:03.2 and finished 50th. Anderson finished 51st in her first 6k of the season, running 21:04.1. Kaitlyn Burge and Mallory Streetman served as the team's displacers, running 21:15.1 and 21:21.1, respectively.
Rounding out the lineup were Brooklyn Quanz, Madelyn Keating, Gracie Gibson and Reese Terza. Quanz, Gibson and Terza all set personal bests in the race, dropping roughly 3 minutes off their times combined.

The Bulldogs head to College Station, Texas, for the SEC Championship hosted by Texas A&M on Nov. 1.
