NOTABLES
- The Dawgs enter the weekend having won eight straight matches (all vs. SEC opponents) with four of those victories coming at home. MSU owns an 11-1 record at The Griss this season, which is tied for the most wins at home in the league. The eight consecutive SEC wins is the longest streak in program history. Â
- Overall, State has posted a 20-5 overall record this season and 11-2 mark in conference play. The 20 wins by the Dawgs is tied for third-most in program history and just three wins shy of tying the school record (23; 1976).
- Rebecca Walk and Gabby Coulter collected a pair of SEC weekly honors following the Bulldogs' sweep over Missouri this past weekend. Walk earned the SEC's Player and Co-Offensive Player of the Week accolades, while Coulter picked up this week's SEC Setter of the Week honor. Walk is just the fourth Bulldog in program history to be named the SEC's Player of the Week. For Coulter, it marks the first weekly honor of her career and the first time in program history the Bulldogs have claimed an SEC Setter of the Week accolade from the conference office.
- Mississippi State extended the SEC's longest winning streak to eight matches last weekend with a pair of road victories over Missouri. The Bulldogs opened the series with a five-set win over the Tigers before completing the sweep in four sets last Sunday in Columbia.
- Following last weekend's sweep over Mizzou, Mississippi State is receiving votes in this week's AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll entering the two-match home stretch against Tennessee.
