Fifth-year backcourt performer who ranks as the most veteran player on MSU’s 2007-08 roster... Teams with two-time all-SEC forward Charles Rhodes as the club’s lone seniors... Two-time team co-captain who has been put on scholarship for his senior campaign after spending four seasons as a walk-on... Has seen 45 total minutes of action in 29 career collegiate appearances during his injury-plagued State career... Finally appears healthy after undergoing four surgical procedures since the end of the 2004-05 playing season... First had surgery on his left knee in the spring of 2005 before having nerve entrapment surgery on both elbows within a three-month span... Most recently had surgery in the spring of 2006 to repair a torn labrum (cartilage) in his right shoulder... Three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll who is pursuing his master’s degree in business administration after earning his business management degree this past year... Hails from the Kentucky high school ranks by way of Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass.
2006-07:
Made a dozen brief appearances (career-most 21 total minutes) as a junior... Hit just 1-of-14 of his field goals, including 0-of-11 from three-point range... Tallied his lone two points of the year and had an assist in his season debut against South Alabama... Had an assist and a rebound in home win over Alabama... Saw action in all three of MSU’s home MasterCard NIT wins and also earned playing time in home SEC victories over Auburn, LSU, Arkansas, Vanderbilt and Alabama... Gained status on the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the third consecutive year and served as a team co-captain for the second straight season.
2005-06:
Received a medical redshirt during the 2005-06 campaign... Made the 2005-06 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll.
2004-05:
Saw limited action in 12 outings (18 total minutes) for MSU in 2004-05, more than doubling his appearance total from his freshman season... Tallied 10 total points on the year, hitting 3-of-5 field goals, 2-of-3 treys and 2-of-2 free throws... Scored a career-high five points against Jacksonville State in Jackson, Miss., hitting a 3-pointer and sinking both charity tosses... Scored on a driving layup in the Florida A&M contest... Made his first career 3-pointer and grabbed a rebound in the Nicholls State game... Credited with first collegiate assist in home win over Florida... Played career-high three minutes in home win over Auburn... Collected a rebound against Arkansas-Little Rock... Saw brief action in each of MSU’s SEC Tournament outings (Georgia & Florida) as well as in first-round NCAA Tournament win over Stanford... Made the 2004-05 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll.
Saw limited action in five games as a collegiate rookie in 2003-04, scoring a basket and grabbing three rebounds in six total minutes on the year... Scored a basket and grabbed a pair of rebounds in his Bulldog playing debut against McNeese State... Collected a defensive rebound and had two missed free-throw attempts in two-minute stint versus Tennessee... Misfired on his lone three-point attempt of the year on the road against Tulane... PREP SCHOOL:
Averaged around five points and two rebounds per game in earning both the Best Team Defender and Coaches Awards as a fifth-year player for coach Bill Barton’s 2002-03 Notre Dame Prep club... Slowed somewhat by a nagging tailbone injury during the campaign... Helped lead the Crusaders to a 30-9 record and national top-eight finish in 2002-03, including prestigious in-season tourney championships at the Maine Central Institute Classic and War on the Shore Tournament... Recorded season-high scoring totals of 15 points versus Southern Maine Community College and 14 points against Redemption Christian... Collected a season-most five rebounds in outings against Brewster Academy and Ocala Christian... Connected on 40 percent of his three-point field goals and 88 percent of his free throws on the year.
Averaged 8.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists an outing during an injury-plagued senior season at Webster County High School in Dixon, Ky... Helped lead coach Kelly Carwile’s 2001-02 WCHS Trojans to a 17-11 record, including a runner-up finish in the Sixth District Tournament and an appearance in the Second Region Tournament... Scored a season-high 18 points versus eventual state runner-up Paducah Tilghman in his Webster County debut... Dislocated his right elbow in the third game of the season and missed seven games due to the injury... Came back to post four straight double-figure scoring games following the elbow injury, including a mid-season 16-point, eight-rebound outing against Christian County...
