Drafted in the 18-th round by the Milwaukee Brewers as a shortstop… Was a two-year letterman at Champagnat Catholic High School in Miami, Fla … In 81 innings of work throughout his high school career, Cijntje recorded a 2.32 ERA and allowed 39 hits, 39 runs while also walking 31 batters … He had a 7-6 record but struck out 166 batters and recorded a 0.86 WHIP average … Ranked as the No. 1 BHP in the nation and in the state of Florida, the No. 34 overall pitcher in the nation and the No. 9 overall prospect in the state of Florida by Perfect Game … Perfect Game also rated him as a 10/10 prospect.
Personal
Father played professionally in The Netherlands... Played for Curaçao at the 2016 Little League World Series... He is naturally left-handed but began throwing right-handed as early as 6 years old to mimic his father.
