
Bulldogs Win To Start The Ragin’ Cajuns Classic

Lafayette, La. – The Bulldogs start off the Ragin' Cajuns Classic with a sweep over the host team, Louisiana.
Lindsey Mangelson picked up her 500th career kill in set two to become the fastest bulldog to reach 500 career kills. The closest someone has been was Evie Grace Singleton's mark of 39 matches that she set in 2016, her second season at MSU. Mangelson had eight kills on the night and scored the bulldogs 10 points.
Bernardita Aguilar led the Bulldogs with 14 kills and a .438 kill percentage. Paloma Routaboul picked up eight kills followed by Ava Anderson's season high 7. The Bulldogs were a force at the net picking up a combined 8.5 total blocks.
McKenna Yates had a team leading 15 digs with Mangelson picking up 12 and Cayley Hanson collecting 11. Hanson and Mangelson also had 3 and 2 aces, respectfully.
The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. CT as they take on Jackson State. State will then be back for their last match of the Ragin' Cajuns Classic to face UT Arlington on Saturday. First serve will be at 11 a.m. CT.
