Bulldogs Add Top Juco Transfer Arianny Francisco De Oliveira
April 24, 2026 | Women's Basketball
STARKVILLE – Mississippi State women's basketball added the top junior college transfer of the 2026 class on Friday in the form of Arianny Francisco de Oliveira. The 6-4 forward earned the #1 ranking in the Top 100 of the Collegiate Girls Basketball Report.
Â
Francisco de Oliveira, a rising junior originally from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, proved herself as one of the most versatile players on the floor during her two seasons at Gulf Coast State. Last season, she averaged 18.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, both of which led the team. For her efforts, she was named an NJCAA Third Team All-American.
Â
Francisco de Oliveira also showed the ability to stretch the floor last season, as she knocked down a team-leading 50 three-pointers on the season. She also shot a team-best 83.2 percent from the charity stripe.
Â
Francisco de Oliveira has represented her home country of Brazil multiple times, most recently in the 2023 FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup. She also played in the 2022 FIBA U18 and 2021 FIBA U16 Women's Americas Championship.
Â
Francisco de Oliveira is the fifth transfer portal addition for the Bulldogs, as she joins Reese Beaty, Aryss Macktoon, Cali Smallwood and Macie Phifer as those who have entered the portal to Starkville. In addition to those five, the Bulldogs return their two top scorers from last season in the form of SEC All-Defensive and All-Freshman team member Madison Francis and Favour Nwaedozi, who finished as one of the four players in the SEC to average a double-double last season.
State also returns midseason addition Melissa Guillet and will see two incoming freshmen: Alabama's Gatorade Girl's Player of the Year, Lani Smallwood, and Tennessee's Miss Basketball, Andrea Flores.
