Petar Jovanovic Named SEC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week

STARKVILLE – Petar Jovanovic has been named SEC Player of the Week following his standout performances from Mar. 11-18.
Jovanovic led the Bulldogs to a pair of top-25 victories over No. 14 South Carolina and No. 22 Florida, posting a perfect week across singles and doubles play.
In singles, Jovanovic recorded two straight-set wins over ranked opponents, continuing his strong run against top competition. His victories provided key points in both matches as Mississippi State secured the team wins.
Jovanovic also contributed in doubles, earning two victories, including a win over South Carolina's No. 10 ranked pair. His performance helped the Bulldogs gain early momentum in both contests.
Jovanovic is the second Bulldog to earn SEC Player of the Week honors this season, joining Benito Sanchez Martinez (Jan. 14–21).
