The Final Horn: No. 17 Alabama 100, State 75
February 25, 2026 | Men's Basketball
THE BOTTOM LINE: Mississippi State dropped a 100-75 decision to No. 17 Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday night. Alabama came out scorching hot, burying five triples early to leap to a 15-2 advantage. From there the Crimson Tide never looked back, leading by as many as 30 in the first half and claiming a 63-33 halftime edge. The second frame was no different as the Tide kept their foot on the gas pedal, and the Bulldogs were unable to muster a comeback.
KEY NUMBERS: Achor Achor led in the scoring department for State with 18 points and King Grace added 13 in the effort, but it wasn't enough for the Dawgs. A major factor in the MSU loss was Alabama sinking 16 of its 27 3-pointers (59.3 percent) in the first half alone. The Tide finished 22-for-50 from long range.
NEXT UP FOR MSU: The Bulldogs return home to host Missouri on Saturday, Feb.28 at Humphrey Coliseum. Tipoff is set for noon and the game will be aired on SEC Network.
