Women’s Tennis Improves to 8-0 with Win at Georgia Tech

ATLANTA – Mississippi State women's tennis improved to 8-0 on the year with its 4-2 victory at Georgia Tech on Saturday.
Although Mississippi State dropped the doubles point for only the second time this season, the team quickly tied the match as Athina Pitta surged to a 6-1, 6-3 victory on court six. Soon after, Mia Robinson secured a 6-3, 6-3 win on court five, putting State in the lead.
The Bulldogs' third point came after Carolina Troiano won by retirement. While Georgia Tech answered with their final point on court one, Thessy Ntondele Zinga asserted control by dominating sets two and three to clinch the match for State.
