STILLWATER, Okla. – No. 17 Mississippi State will meet Oklahoma State on the road in Stillwater on Sunday afternoon. The noon CT kickoff will be the earliest kick of the season to this point for the Bulldogs.

MSU has not played at Oklahoma State since a lone meeting in 2010. In fact, Big 12 opponents have been a rarity for the Bulldogs. State boasts just two victories against the conference all-time.

Mississippi State has not lost consecutive matches in nearly two years, and the Bulldogs are looking to continue that trend after suffering a 2-0 setback on Thursday night at Baylor.

Stingy State: MSU has set program records each of the last three years for the fewest shots allowed per game. In 2024, State allowed just 7.5 shots per game, and this year, the Bulldogs are allowing just 8.3 shots per game and just 3.3 shots on goal per game.

Offense From Defense: Defenders or goalkeepers have recorded four of State's seven assists this year. Sarah Wommack is the first Bulldog keeper to record a point since 2021 and the first with an assist since 2017.

Oklahoma State returns seven players who started at least 10 games for the Cowgirls last season, including All-Big 12 performers Gracie Bindbeutel, Xcaret Pineda and Laudan Wilson. The Cowgirls have conceded a goal in four consecutive matches and have just one win in that span. On Thursday night, they lost, 3-2, at Rice. Both Cowgirl goals in that match came off corners with Taryn Thibeau recording assists. Pineda took seven shots in OSU's last game, and she ranks sixth nationally in goals (5) and 14th in points (11). OSU leads the Big 12 with 4.60 saves per game.Â
