Four Spots Earned In The Record Books On Day Three

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State track and field closed out the Alumni Bulldog Relays this afternoon, putting up four MSU all-time top-five performances, and 14 personal bests.
The day started in the women's javelin, with Kalee Clark debuting as a Bulldog. Clark threw 47.97m, finishing second with the third furthest throw in program history. Track events started in the 4x100m, with the squad of Kyndall Sessom, Jaitlyn Ware, Zaniyah Jones and Rickyla Fagan running the fourth-fastest time in program history in the event. The men swept first and second in the relays, with the fastest squad running 39.32.
The day continued in the 1500m, where five Bulldogs earned personal bests between the men and women. Nicholas Fakorede earned his first event win of the season in the 100m, running 10.11, just milliseconds off the freshman record and all-time top-five list. The rest of the Bulldogs all finished within the top 15 in the event, with Danarrion Ard and Cyrus Jacobs Jr. earning personal bests in the event.
Jessicka Woods opened her season in the 400m hurdles, running a new personal best of 58.45, and extending her No. 4 spot on the MSU all-time list. Jaitlyn Ware, the indoor 200m program record holder, put herself at No. 5 in the outdoor 200m with a personal best of 23.44. Kennedy Stringfellow closed out the individual track and field events with a win in the 200m, running 20.77 for a new personal best. He paired the win with a second place win in the long jump, with a massive personal best of 7.73m. The weekend closed with a pair of wins in the 4x400m for both the men and women.
The Bulldogs will be back in action next weekend at the Battle on the Bayou, hosted by LSU next weekend.
