Bulldogs Set To Begin Postseason At The SEC Championships
October 30, 2025 | Cross Country
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Mississippi State cross country is set to compete in the SEC Championships, hosted by Tennessee, tomorrow morning.
State will compete against the entire conference, boasting 15 other teams. Of the 16 competing, No. 3 Florida, No. 20 South Carolina, No. 23 Missouri, No. 25 Alabama and No. 27 Tennessee enter the championships as the only ranked SEC teams.
The Bulldogs have held steady in the regional rankings this season, reaching as high as fourth, and ranked just behind conference foes Florida, Tennessee and Alabama.
Ahead of the season, State was sixth in the SEC cross country preseason poll.
State will send 11 athletes to the line to compete at the Cherokee Cross Country Course. Ramat Jimoh and Gabrielle Boulay return to the championships after breaking the 6k program record at last year's event.
Nelly Jemeli has the fastest 6k time this season, followed by Naomi Jepleting, who sits at fourth and thirteenth on the MSU all-time list in the 6k, respectively.
Milicent Kemboi, Louise Stonham, Hunter Anderson and Brooklyn Quanz are next to line up for the Bulldogs, all of whom hold spots on the MSU all-time list in either the 5k or 6k.
Kaitlyn Burge, Trinity Holland and Mallory Streetman round out the lineup for the State.
The race is set to begin at 9:53 a.m. CT and will be available to stream on the SEC Network.
