STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State Bulldogs continue the early portion of their Southeastern Conference schedule, as they head to Athens to take on the Georgia Bulldogs. The game is set to broadcast live on SECN+ beginning at 1 p.m. CT.

- Mississippi State picked up their first SEC and top-10 victory of the season, as they took down the Oklahoma Sooners 81-77
- Oklahoma was State's first ranked win since defeating the then defending-national champions, No. 9/9 LSU, last season on January 29, 2024.
- Mississippi State's defense ranks top 20 in the nation in opposing field goal percentage. Opponents are currently shooting 35.3 against the Bulldogs, which is 3.7 percent off the nation's leader, Kansas State (31.6).
- State is one of four teams in the SEC and one of 15 teams in the nation to hold opponents to under 60 points per game, under 40% shooting and to average at least 8.5 steals and 4.0 blocks per game.
- Jerkaila Jordan picked up her second-straight 24-point performance against Oklahoma, including six rebounds, four steals and a block.
- Jordan is currently 1 of 6 players in the nation to average at least 15 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.5 steals and 1 block per game.
- Denim DeShields finished with five steals against Oklahoma, which tied a career best. She is shooting 54.5 percent from three over her last five games (6-11).
- Eniya Russell collected 12 points, four rebounds and three assists against Oklahoma. She has finished with at least 10 points in 11 of her last 12 games.
- Madina Okot is third in the nation and second in the SEC with a 69 percent field goal percentage this season. She brought down 10 rebounds against Oklahoma, the sixth time she's hit that mark this season.
- Debresha Powe knocked down a pair of triples against Oklahoma. She is one of four players in the SEC to shoot 40 percent or better from deep with at least 60 attempts this season.
- Mississippi State and Georgia will match up for the 53rd time on Sunday. The Bulldogs of Athens lead the series 30-22. State has won seven of the last 10 meetings.
- When in Athens, Georgia has won 17 of 23 games played in the series. The series is split 1-1 under head coach Sam Purcell.
- Georgia enters the matchup off a 74-72 victory against the Missouri Tigers on January 9, which was their first SEC win of the season.
- Freshman Trinity Turner knocked down a buzzer-beating three to give Georgia the victory over Missouri. They were down by as many as 14 and faced a 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter before securing the comeback.
