Mississippi State Takes Game Two Against Missouri

STARKVILLE – The No. 16 Mississippi State Bulldogs defeated the Missouri Tigers 8-2 on Friday afternoon and claimed the series' first two games. A strong performance by Jurrangelo Cijntje and a two-home run performance by Amani Larry led the Dawgs to the Victory.
Jurrangelo Cijntje drew the start for the Diamond Dawgs, earning his eighth win. He only gave up three hits and two earned runs in seven innings of work while striking out nine. Brooks Auger came in for relief and delivered an impressive performance. In two innings of work, he only gave up two hits, no runs, one walk, and struck out one Tiger.
Amani Larry and Dakota Jordan led the way at the plate for the Bulldogs. Larry went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, all coming from his two home runs. Jordan went 3-for-4 also with one RBI. Hunter Hines, Bryce Chance, and Joe Powell all went 1-for-3, and Hines and Powell recorded one RBI each.
Mississippi State is back in action tomorrow for game three against Missouri. First pitch is set for 2 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on SECN+.
