STARKVILLE – With a busy, tennis-filled month of October in the books for the Mississippi State men's tennis team, a pair of Bulldogs are set to travel to Birmingham, Alabama, for the Country Club of Birmingham (CCB) Collegiate Invitational.

Freshman Gregor Ramskogler and sophomore Stedman Strickland will represent the Maroon and White over the weekend in Birmingham, with action beginning Friday morning.

In addition to the Bulldogs, 12 other programs will be represented at the tournament—host Alabama, Belmont, East Tennessee State, Kentucky, Lipscomb, Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, Samford, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Tulane and UAB.

The day will begin with two rounds of doubles. Ramskogler and Strickland will team up to face UAB's Giovani Pasini and Fernando Vargas in the White Doubles Draw at 9 a.m. CT. The second round is set for 10 a.m. and, after the two rounds of doubles, both players will play one round of singles Friday.

In singles, Ramskogler is set to open up against Stijn Slump of Middle Tennessee in the White Singles Draw. Strickland will take on third-seeded Santiago Di Loreto of South Alabama in the Houndstooth Singles Draw. Both Bulldogs are set to take the court at 2 p.m.

Each player is guaranteed four singles and three doubles matches on the weekend.
Both Ramskogler and Strickland are looking to secure their first victories as Bulldogs in singles. In doubles, Ramskogler holds a 4-0 record after cruising through the Flight A Doubles draw at the Gamecock Fall Invitational to open the fall slate.
