Bulldogs Set For Nationally-Televised Match At Alabama On Sunday
October 14, 2017 | Soccer
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – For the first time this season, the Mississippi State soccer team will be playing on a national stage.
The Bulldogs (7-3-3, 1-3-2 SEC) travel to face Alabama (8-6-1, 0-5-1) at 5 p.m. on Sunday in another crucial Southeastern Conference match for both squads. The contest at the University of Alabama Soccer Complex will be televised nationally on ESPNU, with Mike Watts and former U.S. Women's National Team member Cat Whitehill on the call.
State is looking to bounce back after dropping a hard-fought 1-0 decision to Kentucky on Oct. 8 in which the Bulldogs had the upper hand in nearly every statistical category.
A win in Tuscaloosa would mark State's third-straight victory against the Crimson Tide and would be the Bulldogs' third consecutive win in Tuscaloosa.
