
No. 5 MSU Wraps Pre-SEC Slate Wednesday Against Northwestern St.

STARKVILLE, Miss. – No. 5 Mississippi State looks to complete a perfect non-conference slate Wednesday at it hosts Northwestern State in a 7 p.m. tip at Humphrey Coliseum.
The Bulldogs, who remained No. 5 in Tuesday's USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll, return from Christmas break 13-0. Vic Schaefer's squad is the SEC's only undefeated team and one of eight teams in the nation without a loss.
Wednesday's tilt will be Dollar Night. Tickets for adults cost $1, while students high school age and under get in free. There will also be $1 hot dogs available for purchase while supplies last.
Fans can beat the lines by purchasing and printing tickets at home via hailstate.com/tickets. Humphrey Coliseum doors open at 6 p.m., and fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy Bully's Kidz Kourt in Mize Pavilion and take pictures with the Golden Egg and St. Petersburg Bowl trophy.
Wednesday's game will be broadcast online on SEC Network +. WKBB-FM 100.9 will have the radio call in the Golden Triangle area, and a free online audio stream will be available at hailstate.com/plus.

- The Bulldogs average 80.1 ppg this season, second in the SEC and 26th nationally. After scoring its season low at Little Rock, MSU has averaged 85.7 ppg the last three games.
- MSU has shot 46.2% from the field the last three games. It makes 47.3% for the year, tops in the league and 18th in the country.
- State forced 29 turnovers for the second time in three games against Alabama State. MSU forces 21.8 turnovers per game, 17th in the nation. The Dawgs' +8.1 turnover margin is ninth in the Division I ranks.
- Victoria Vivians scored a season-high 28 points in the team's last outing. She comes into Wednesday averaging 23.5 ppg her last two games after she tallied 19 at USC.
- Freshman Ameshya Williams notched a season-high 12 points and tied for the team high with six rebounds against Alabama State.
- Junior Morgan William is averaging 10.6 ppg the last five games. In that stretch she is shooting 55.2% from the floor.
