Joe Savino has spent time playing for and also working under head coach Brian O’Connor.
Savino served as Virginia’s pitching coordinator during the 2025 season after pitching for the Cavaliers as a graduate student one year prior. He posted a 3-2 record with a 4.20 ERA with 24 strikeouts across nine appearances (eight starts) and 30 innings during his lone season at UVA.
The Ronkonhoma, New York native also pitched in 50 career games across three seasons for Elon. He accumulated 193 strikeouts and only 32 walks in 160 innings with a 3.94 career ERA for the Phoenix.
During his junior campaign at Elon, Savino was selected as an All-CAA honorable mention after sporting a 5-1 record with three saves and a 3.86 ERA across 53 2/3 innings.
Savino graduated from Elon with a degree in finance.
