Bulldogs Sweep In The Ragin’ Cajuns Classic

Lafayette, La. – Mississippi State finished their time at the Ragin' Cajuns Classic with a sweep over UT Arlington, leading the Bulldogs to a 3-0 finish at the tournament.
State held the Mavericks to an under .100 hitting percentage the entire match. The Bulldogs picked up 10.0 total blocks. Noella Obi led the team with 4.0 total blocks including a solo block.
Bernardita Aguilar led the Bulldogs in kills with 12 on the day. Lindsey Mangelson collected 9, and Ava Anderson and Obi picked up four apiece. In set one the Bulldogs held a .417 hitting percentage and had 14 kills in set two.
State had seven service aces during the match. Cayley Hanson grabbed three while McKenna Yates and Mangelson had two apiece. Hanson also collected 28 assists on the day.
Yates led the team in digs collecting 17 with Mangelson getting 11. Mary Neal set a new season high for digs picking up 10.
