Bulldogs Schedule Two Fall Exhibition Games In Biloxi
August 19, 2026 | Baseball
BILOXI – Mississippi State baseball fans along the Gulf Coast will be getting a double dose of the Diamond Dawgs this fall.
MSU will play a pair of exhibition games against Auburn and Southern Miss in the Hancock Whitney Coast Classic at Keesler Federal Park, home of the Biloxi Shuckers. The Bulldogs take on the Tigers on Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. and will battle the Golden Eagles the following day at 2 p.m.
Tickets are on sale now through the Shuckers ticket office.
"We're excited about returning to Biloxi in October," head coach Brian O'Connor said. "We had an incredible experience down there in March and are looking forward to the opportunity to play baseball in front of our fans from the coast again. I'm proud of the team my staff has assembled and can't wait to get them out there this fall and see what we can do against high-level competition like Auburn and Southern Miss."
Mississippi State is certainly not a stranger to either opponent. The Diamond Dawgs hosted Auburn for a three-game SEC showdown at Dudy Noble Field this past spring and lead the all-time series 121-100-1. State also played a pair of midweek games against USM during the 2026 season and has an 88-45 lead in that series.
MSU is also familiar with Keesler Federal Park. The Bulldogs are 9-2 all-time in Biloxi and rallied past Tulane 11-7 at the home of the Milwaukee Brewers Double-A affiliate on March 10. A total of 6,112 fans watched that contest and marked the second-largest crowd in the stadium's history.
"We're excited to welcome the Bulldogs, Golden Eagles, Tigers and their fans to Kessler Federal Park this fall," Shuckers general manager Hunter Reed said. "These fan bases are some of the most passionate in college baseball and partnering with Hancock Whitney to continue these games is an honor."
