STARKVILLE – Head coach Julie Darty Dennis announced the signing of Gha'Naye Whitfield-Moss on Tuesday, marking the ninth addition to State's program this spring.
Â
"We are beyond excited to add Gha'Naye to our roster. Her energy is infectious and she is going to be a fun addition to our roster," Dennis said. "She brings a great amount of experience from a great program, and I am extremely happy to bring her closer to home and to make Starkvegas her new home. The Mississippi State family is going to fall in love with her like we did."
Â
Whitfield-Moss makes the move to Starkville beginning her collegiate career at the University of Delaware. The Bessemer, Alabama native played two seasons for the Blue Hens. Over those two years, she is averaging 2.07 kills per set alongside 0.9 blocks per set. Last season, she collected double-digit kills in 11 of Delaware's matches, including a career-high 15 kills on a .480 clip against Howard, where she also picked up eight blocks.
Â
Whitfield-Moss excelled during her freshman season as well. She was named to the CAA All-Rookie Team her freshman season after collecting Rookie of the Week honors twice that season.
Â
The 2025 campaign is just around the corner, as 16 matches have been announced thus far for the Bulldogs. The remainder of the schedule is set to be announced this summer.
