
Bulldogs Close The Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Mississippi State track and field concluded the Florida Relays, hosted by the University of Florida, Saturday afternoon.
The day opened with the men's throws, with Tyler Mason earning a personal best in the shot put. The first event on the track was the women's 100m hurdles, where Kennedy Jackson and Jaden Billings both earned massive personal bests, with Jackson just missing the final.
Peyton Bair, NCAA Indoor heptathlon champion, competed in his first 110m hurdle race of the season, clocking in at 14.06. In the triple jump, Manie Mevo earned a season's best, finishing fifth with a 12.54m attempt.
The women's 100m squad had a solid showing, with Kyndall Sessom earning a new personal best of 11.47. Her time moves her to the No. 4 spot on the MSU all-time list over 100m. Rickyla Fagan ran a massive personal best of 11.55, dropping nearly 0.20 seconds off her previous best time. Jaitlyn Ware ran a solid 11.55, just 0.02 seconds off her personal best, set last weekend at the Battle on the Bayou
The day concluded with the relays, as the women ran 3:39.77 in the 4x400m to finish fifth in the collegiate section.
The Bulldogs will return to competition next weekend, competing in the 44 Farms Team Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M, and the Crimson Tide Invitational, hosted by Alabama.
