Bulldogs Fall To No. 4/4 USC In Second Round Of NCAA Tournament

LOS ANGELES – The Mississippi State Bulldogs concluded their season on Monday, falling to USC in the round of 32.
Jerkaila Jordan led the Bulldogs in her final contest in the Maroon and White. Jordan collected 17 points and six rebounds in the contest.
Eniya Russell and Destiney McPhaul followed along with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Russell went 1-2 from deep in her last appearance as a Bulldog while McPhaul went 6-6 from the charity stripe.
Madina Okot finished the game with eight points and six rebounds. Kayla Thomas collected four points along with a season-high five rebounds in her final collegiate game.
The Bulldogs finish the campaign with a 22-12 record, the third consecutive 20+ win season in three years under head coach Sam Purcell. This year's appearance in the NCAA Tournament was the second in his tenure, and the 13th appearance in program history.
