"Overall, it was a strong end to the regular season," said head coach Chris Woods. "The team has strong momentum heading into the conference championship, and will spend next week honing in on the things needed to allow them to perform to their highest potential."
The Bulldogs had a strong start in Clemson in the jumps, with Aaron Fortenberry improving on his MSU all-time mark. He moved to the No. 3 spot with a new personal best of 5.03m. Manie Mevo jumped 12.67m in the triple jump for a new indoor personal best in the event. Jaitlyn Ware led the squad in the women's 200m, followed by two personal bests from Zaniyah Jones and Kyndall Sessom. Kennedy Stringfellow was the fastest man in the 200m for State this weekend, followed by Cyrus Jacobs Jr. and Marquise Washington, with Washington earning a personal best. The day closed in the relays with the women's A-squad running 3:40.52, and the men's squad running 3:05.09, for the second fastest time in program history in the event.
The distance and throws squad strongly showed at the Music City Challenge. The day started with the 800m unseeded sections, with Ben Murray earning a personal best.
