
Ricketts Signs Fifth Straight Top 25 Recruiting Class

STARKVILLE – Samantha Ricketts and Mississippi State softball added nine players on National Signing Day, which bring such a variety of skills and positions to the table that they can fill out a lineup card on their own.

The 2026 class includes five players that have been ranked among the top 100 in the country by at least one major recruiting outlet. Travel ball teammates Teagan Revette and Hannah Jo Sullivan are both among the top 15 in the class at their position by Softball America.

Notably, Megan Woodrige is No. 12 in the Extra Inning Softball overall rankings and the No. 9 infielder, and Taylor Faga is No. 15 according to Perfect Game, making them the program's sixth and seventh top-15 overall recruits since 2015.

"We are thrilled to bring this next class of Bulldogs to StarkVegas, and for our fans to have the opportunity to see their talent at Nusz Park in the near future," Ricketts said. "A big shoutout goes to associate head coach Tyler Bratton and assistant coach Zac Shaw for putting together such a dynamic group. This class has a little bit of everything from pitching and power to speed and athleticism. With representatives from all over the U.S., this group will make an impact on our program for years to come. We can't wait to see these young women in the Maroon and White soon."

MSU's signees hail from Mississippi, Alabama, California, Georgia, Iowa, Maryland, New York and Oklahoma, and the class is made up of three utility players, three infielders, two pitchers and an outfielder.

The class was considered the No. 15 signing day haul in the nation by D1Softball.com and No. 18 by Softball America. Under Ricketts, State has brought in five consecutive top-25 classes.

Kensi Arringdale, INF | Ankeny, Iowa (Ankeny HS)
Arringdale is a four-star prospect and the No. 2 player in the state of Iowa according to Softball America, which ranks her as the No. 41 infielder in the class. Arringdale boasts 102 career RBIs while playing for Ankeny High School. Defensively, she recorded a .989 fielding percentage last spring. She played travel ball for both the Virginia Unity and the Tennessee Mojo, which won the PGF 16U National Championship with in 2024. She hit .370 with 12 long balls and 65 RBIs that year while posting a .988 fielding percentage on the way to the championship game.Â
Taylor Faga, INF | Hollister, Calif. (San Benito HS)
Faga is the No. 15 prospect in the class, according to Perfect Game. She attended Hollister High school and concluded her freshman season by winning the NorCal Championship and the CCS Open Division championship in 2023. That same season, she was named the 2023 Cal-Hi Freshman of the Year, earning Second Team All-State honors after batting .511 with 46 RBIs. She batted .444 as a sophomore but missed her junior season due to an injury. Faga has played travel ball for four summers with the Corona Angels, with her team reaching the elite eight in various divisions each year.Â
Emma Hackler, UTL | Poteau, Okla. (Poteau HS)
Hackler is a four-time District Pitcher of the Year and two-time Prep Nation Oklahoma All-State selection in 2024 and 2025. She won two Regional Championships with Poteau High School where she was Oklahoma's 2025 Class 4A Most Valuable Player. Over her high school career, Hackler recorded 683 strikeouts with a 1.60 ERA, along with a .427 batting average and 24 home runs. On the travel circuit, she helped Aces Fastpitch reach the 2025 Alliance National Championships Sweet 16. She boasts nearly 350 strikeouts with her travel team and hit 11 homers for Aces this past summer. Hackler checked in at No. 32 in Perfect Game's recruiting rankings.Â
Teagan Revette, UTL | Orange Beach, Ala. (Orange Beach HS)
Revette is a four-star prospect by Softball America and nationally ranked at multiple positions. Softball America also named her the No. 3 player in the state of Alabama and the No. 9 catcher nationally while Extra Innings Softball considers her the No. 7 infielder in the class. She attended Orange Beach High School and began playing with the varsity team in the seventh grade, helping the team to an Alabama-record five straight state championships from 2021-25. The Orange Beach team won the MaxPreps National Championship in 2024. Revette was named a MaxPreps Honorable Mention High School All-American as a junior after ranking 10th nationally with 81 RBIs in 2025. She is a four-time First Team All-State selection and a five-time member of the AL.com Coastal Terrific 22. She played travel ball for Birmingham Thunderbolts, reaching PGF Nationals in 2021 and 2022.Â
Genesis Satterfield, OF | Gainesville, Ga. (North Hall HS)
Satterfield, a 2025 PGF All-American, attended North Hall High School where the team won the 2024 Regional Championship. As a freshman, she batted .493 with 27 stolen bases on her way to being named First Team All-Region, County Player of the Year and team MVP. She broke the school's career home run record as a sophomore after batting .404 with a school single-season record 13 home runs. During that season, she was named Second Team All-State and First Team All-Region. In her junior season, she hit .542 with and was selected to play in the 2025 GACA All-State Game. Satterfield played travel ball for Athletics Gold Tamborra, which won the Scenic City Top 25 18U Championship. The team also finished in the top five at the P5 Patriot games.Â
Hannah Jo Sullivan, UTL | Brandon, Miss. (Brandon HS)
A four-star prospect and the No. 2 player in Mississippi according to Softball America, Sullivan recorded a career batting average of .433 with 39 home runs, 144 RBIs and 119 stolen bases while playing for Brandon High School. Softball America also tabbed her as the No. 11 catcher in the class. She was named Mississippi Miss Softball and Mississippi's Gatorade Player of the Year in 2025. She has started every game that Brandon High School has played since her seventh grade season, and in her junior year she completed the season without a single strikeout. Sullivan holds the Brandon single-season home run record and was named National Player of the Week in 2025. In travel ball, Sullivan played with the Birmingham Thunderbolts, reaching PGF Nationals in 2021 and 2022.Â
Alexi Thigpen, OF | North Liberty, Iowa (Liberty HS)
Thigpen played travel ball for the Louisville Lady Sluggers, hitting .468 as a freshman on the travel circuit with 105 stolen bases while being caught just four times. In the following summer, she posted a .424 batting average with 123 stolen bases. She batted .552 with a .640 on-base percentage as a junior and hit .490 as a senior. Thigpen was a multi-sport athlete in high school, excelling in track and field. She placed third in the long jump at the state championships as a freshman.Â
Ava Twilley, UTL | Salisbury, Md. (Mardela HS)
Twilley is a graduate of Mardela High School, where she led the Lady Warriors to their first Maryland State Championship since 1980 in 2025. She was named team MVP every season and posted an ERA under 0.75 each year. She has collected more than 500 strikeouts for Mardela. At the plate, she hit above .500 in her first two seasons. Twilley played on the travel circuit with EC Bullets Gold and recorded an ERA under 3.00 in each of her final three years playing travel ball.Â
Megan Woodridge, INF | Syracuse, N.Y. (Fayetteville-Manlius High School)
The No. 3 player in the state of New York and a four-star prospect according to Softball America, Woodbridge was also considered the No. 12 hitter in the class by Extra Innings Softball. She has received national recognition from PGF for two consecutive years, being named an All-American in 2025 and a Futures All-American in 2024. She attended Fayetteville-Manlius High School, where she hit over .400 in every season and collected 14 home runs. In 2025, she was named the team's Player of the Year and earned the program's Golden Bat, Top Swing and Clutch Hitter awards. Similarly, in 2024, she was named Defensive Player of the Year. Woodbridge played travel ball with Virginia Unity, which placed third at PGF Nationals in 2025.Â
