STARKVILLE – Four Mississippi State players were included in TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Player Rankings and Midseason Freshman Rankings.
Â
MAC Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List selection Ally Perry led the way, checking in at No. 6 overall in the player rankings. She currently leads a top-10 Bulldog squad in goals (7), assists (6) and points (20). She paces the SEC in points per game, averaging 1.67, and that rate climbs to 2.33 points per game in conference play. She also leads the conference in goals and shots in league play.
Four of Perry's goals have been game-winners, which ranks second in the SEC and seventh nationally.
Â
A trio of first-year starters landed in the freshman rankings. The Bulldogs are one of nine teams nationally with three ranked freshmen and one of only two in the SEC. Adia Symmonds leads the way at No. 10, while Tatum Borman is No. 20 and Ella Petersen rounds out the group at No. 81. The trio has started in every SEC match this season.
Â
Symmonds leads all Bulldog freshmen with 894 minutes played, starting every match. She is third on the team in points (8) and second in assists (4). Her eight points are eighth among all SEC freshmen. Borman has started all but one match and boasts a pair of goals. She's also added an assist. Petersen has one assist to her credit and has played 75 minutes or more in five consecutive matches.
