STARKVILLE - The No. 16 Mississippi State Diamond Dawgs were defeated by the No. 23 Alabama Crimson Tide, 10-5, in series finale. The Bulldogs accumulated ten hits and drew three walks in the contest.

Brooks Auger drew the start on the mound and was charged with his first loss of the season. He gave up two hits and three earned runs in two innings of work while punching out one. Luke Dotson and Karson Ligon struck out five batters between the duo.

Connor Hujsak and Logan Kohler led the way at the plate. Hujsak went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBIs, including a solo home run in the fifth. Kohler went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, coming from his two solo home runs. Dakota Jordan went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Mississippi State is back in action Friday, May 10th, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, as they take on the Arkansas Razorbacks. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on SECN+.
