STARKVILLE -- It's official. USA Today has ranked Starkville, Mississippi, as the Best Small Town in the South as part of the publication's annual rankings.Â
Selected among nearly 20 other small Southern towns, Starkville received the number one ranking after a four-week voting process and was nominated by a panel of travel experts which include a combination of editors from USA Today, 10Best.com and other publishing contributors.Â
