
Inclement Weather Cancels Midweek With South Alabama

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Due to the threat of inclement weather, the Mississippi State softball team's (21-15) Wednesday non-conference contest with South Alabama (21-11) has been canceled.
The Bulldogs and Jaguars have rescheduled the contest for Tuesday, April 26 with first pitch set for 6:04 p.m. CT at Nusz Park.
MSU is coming off of a three-game series against in-state rival Ole Miss in which the Rebels took two of three on the road. MSU took game two 1-0 with an RBI single from junior Amanda Ivy to score senior Kayla Winkfield from second in the bottom of the eighth. In game three, Winkfield had a career day at the dish by going 4-for-4 with three runs scored.
State will return to Southeastern Conference play this weekend with a three-game road series against No. 4 Alabama that will begin Friday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. CT. All three games will air on SEC Network+ which can be viewed through WatchESPN.com and the Watch ESPN app.
