A sacrifice fly by Nick Hardy scored Powers. Tyler Moore than drew a walk. A double steal advanced both Hogue and Moore. Duffy's hit to center scored both Hogue and Moore.
The Bulldogs scored the game's final run in the seventh inning. After back-to-back outs to start the inning, Duffy singled through the right side of the infield and then scored on Jet Butler's triple to right center field.
MSU outhit Memphis 10-3 in the contest with Duffy being the game's lone multiple hitter.
Chad Crosswhite (3-5) picked up the win for MSU. Crosswhite pitched five innings, allowing two hits and one run (earned), with no walks and a career-best eight strikeouts. Andy Wilson, Greg Houston, John Lalor and Aaron Weatherford each pitched an inning in relief. Weatherford struck out two and allowed one hit, while recording his seventh save.
Brennon Martin (4-4) took the loss for Memphis. Martin worked 5-2/3 innings, allowing seven hits and three runs (all earned), with two walks and six strikeouts. Matt Yokley, Garrett Hatchell and Chris Kirkland worked in relief for the Tigers.
MSU will close the 2008 regular season with a home conference series with Arkansas this weekend. The Bulldogs and Razorbacks meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, 6:30 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday. The MSU seniors will be honored prior to Friday's game, while Coach Ron Polk will close his 29th and final season with the Bulldogs in Saturday's regionally-televised (Fox Sports Net South) contest.

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Ryan Duffy's two-run single lifted Mississippi State past Memphis 4-1 in college baseball action at Dudy Noble Field Tuesday night.
Duffy's hit highlighted a three-run third inning as the Bulldogs erased an early 1-0 deficit.
MSU (21-32 overall) won its final non-conference game of the season, finishing 14-12 in non-league competition. The Bulldogs also made amends for an earlier-season 9-8 loss in 10 innings at Memphis. Tuesday night's loss was an 11th straight defeat for Memphis (16-36 overall).
Memphis scored first, plating its lone run in the second inning. Cole Shelton started the inning with a single down the right field line. After a steal of second base, a pair of groundouts brought Shelton home to score.
